Face Yoga Move #1: The Eye Lift Technique
This technique helps your eye area look much brighter and more energised. Long-term, it can reduce hollowness underneath the eyes and tone your lower face.
I also want to mention that this technique works the orbicularis oris muscle around your mouth, which gives your lips their form and shape. You may feel silly while you perform this move, so give yourself permission to laugh if you need to!
To begin, place your two fingers right above your cheekbones.
Make an “O” shape with your mouth, look up, and then flutter your eyelids.
Keep fluttering your eyelids for around 30 seconds to a minute, really feeling that “O” shape of your mouth as you wrap your lips around your teeth.
Face Yoga Move #2: The Forehead Technique
This move relaxes your frontalis muscle, a rather big muscle at the front of the forehead. What I like about this Face Yoga move is how it helps celebrities avoid or reduce frequency of Botox injections by naturally smoothing their forehead area, boosting blood circulation, and bringing fresh blood, nutrients, and oxygen to the surface of the skin.
I highly recommend doing this Face Yoga move for at least 1 minute every day so you can see the results of relaxing the muscle as well as retraining that muscle to not overexpress in day-to-day life. By using your eyes - rather than your forehead - to express yourself, your forehead will remain nice and relaxed.
To perform this Face Yoga move, place four fingers of each of your hands in the middle of your forehead, and then glide your fingers downward towards your brow. Practice doing this move while widening your eyes and keeping your forehead still.
Face Yoga Move #3: The Neck Technique
Another Face Yoga move that I've taught to many celebrities works exceptionally well to release tension in the back of the neck. Just be careful with this move if you have any neck issues - always prioritise your health and comfort.
To perform this move, place the four fingers of each hand onto each side of your collarbone. Tilt your head back, bring your bottom lip out slightly, and hold for about 3 to 6 breaths. When you’re done, gently bring your neck back into position.
Face Yoga Move #4: The Jawline Technique
Celebrities who tend to hold a lot of their stress, emotion, and tension in their jaw love this Face Yoga move I’m going to teach you. If you do it regularly, you’ll notice how well it sculpts your jaw.
Use two fingers on each hand to massage your jawline. Press down lightly in between massaging. Then, in one backward motion, glide your thumbs from your chin toward the back of your neck. Do this for about 1 minute to make your jaw look lifted and sculpted and to release any tension you may be carrying.
Face Yoga Move #5: The Ear Technique
If you notice that you are often clenching your jaw, or perhaps even grinding your teeth at night due to stress, this simple move will be particularly beneficial to you.
All you have to do is use both index fingers to massage just below your ears. Wiggle your fingers in that area. This is another Face Yoga move you’ll want to do regularly.
Face Yoga Move #6: The Lymphatic Drainage Technique
This Face Yoga move involves pressing on your collarbone to open the lymph nodes. Lightly glide your ring fingers around the eye area. Breathe deeply as you do this so it can relieve any puffiness and dark circles that may be present.
Just make sure that you’re not dragging the skin. You just want to gently touch the surface and make gentle movements.
Face Yoga Move #7: The Cheek Technique
For a great way to brighten your cheeks, use your fingers to tap all over your face. This is yet another super simple technique that instantly brings all the blood back to the surface of your skin. Do this Face Yoga move for 1 minute and you’ll be well on your way to looking beautiful and feeling confident!
