9 Ways I Grew My Social Media To Over 1 Million Followers Organically
I now have over 1 million followers on social media across all my platforms combined and I grew this organically and soulfully. But it wasn't always this way. Let me take you back to the beginning.

For years I thought social media was a negative place and didn’t want to go near it.  I never even had a personal Facebook page and even when Instagram came around and most of my friends and peers were on it, I still resisted. I ran my Face Yoga business for almost a decade without social media. I thought social media was bad for mine and others mental health, too much comparison and required too much work to grow a following.  But one day I decided to change my mindset on this and tell myself that yes while aspects of that might be true, what is also true is that I could create a positive, uplifting corner of the internet where people can learn to feel good and feel supported on their natural health and beauty journey. So I did just that.

Now, all these years on, I stay in that energy. Every post I share to over 1 million followers across all platforms combined, is to help people, educate and inspire all with the goal to build positivity and good vibes both on and off social media.

Here are 9 simple ways I grew my following in a heart centred way.
  1. Posting consistently. This is the number one way I grew from 0 followers to hundreds of thousands of followers on each platform. I committed myself to showing up daily and being really consistent. This isn't always easy but it's worth it. If I was to pinpoint anything that really made the biggest difference it would be that I made a clear plan to post frequently and I have consistently stuck to it.
  1. Adding value. Even though you may see my face in most my content, I don’t make my posts about me.  I make my content about helping people and giving something of value to everyone that follows me. Every post I make is with the aim to help people and make a difference. I also follow the '3 E's' rule which is checking every post is either educational, entertaining or emotive. That way, I know I am providing a great service and not making any posts about me but rather about what my audience needs and wants.

  1. Not overthinking. This is so important as showing up daily requires me to let go of any perfectionism or worry about what I am sharing and just simply do it! If we worry what others may think of us, this blocks our creativity, our focus and makes us second guess every move we make. If we just create content from a heart centred place, we allow ourselves to post without going into the mind and overthinking.
  1. Using intuition. This has been such a helpful inner guide for me to navigate the highs and lows of social media. There is so much noise on social media and so much advice on how and when we should post. By asking my inner knowing what feels right, I always know I am creating the right content for myself and my audience.

  1. Being patient. I didn’t get my current following overnight! It’s taken years of showing up, making helpful content and being really really patient (and never giving up). I posted with the same enthusiasm and consistency when I had 10 followers as when I have 1 million and did this daily with patience until I saw growth.
  1. Understand my audience. I know what I share isn’t for everyone (and I don’t try to be everything to everyone) but I also know it will resonate with and make a difference to my audience. I believe in sharing content for my 'soulmate clients'. These are the people who I know will love what I offer, connect with my mission and want to be part of my community.

  1. Building community. I really believe that connection is everything. Social media is meant to be social! I reply to every message and comment and aim to build long lasting connections with my audience.
  1. Using aligned strategy. A plan is imperative and implementing this in a way which feels soulful and heart centred is too. This should never compromise your wellness and life but having a plan (even a very rough plan) helps your time management and gives your audience consistent content from you.

  1. Having a purpose greater than me. Knowing why I post every day is what motivates me. I want to help, share and inspire as many people to feel good inside and out.
