BLOG 180: HOW TO EFFECTIVELY TUNE INTO YOUR 7 CHAKRAS TO GROW YOUR BRAND

When it comes to growing my business (and making decisions in my life), I’m a great believer in the power of intuition to guide my steps. And one of the best ways to tap into that inner knowing is through your chakras. 

The concept of chakras may already be a familiar one to many of you. These are energy centres found throughout our bodies. You can’t see or feel them, but they can have a huge effect on how we feel and whether we have ease and abundance in our lives. 

The chakras have a long history. They are first mentioned in the ancient Vedic texts, over two thousand years ago. When these energy centres are aligned and balanced, we feel physically, mentally, and spiritually well. We experience ease and flow in our lives, and welcome abundance into our businesses effortlessly. 

There are seven main chakras, each governing a different area of our lives. In this post, I want to show you how you can tune into each of these chakras and how working with chakras can help you grow your brand in a soulful and aligned way.

1. ROOT CHAKRA 

The first chakra is the root chakra, which is found at the base of your spine. This chakra is all about feeling grounded, rooted, and stable. 

When it comes to your business, balancing the root chakra helps us to have a really good, grounded relationship with money. It’s something we look at in more depth in the second session of my Be Your Own Brand course, which is all about working through money mindset blocks. 

We all have blocks around money and stories we tell ourselves that might hold us back from financial success. I know a big part of the reason that I’ve been able to grow my brand into a multi-six-figure business is that I worked on my mindset around money and gave myself permission to invest in courses and training – to invest in myself, essentially. 

Working with the root chakra can help us release those blocks. When we do, we come to see that money is just energy, which makes it much easier to manifest it. 

Bring your focus to your root chakra now. Close your eyes and take some deep, conscious breaths, visualising a red light bathing the area at the base of your spine. 

Repeat the affirmation, “I am financially secure”, three times. 

Even if you hear that little voice of doubt speaking up when you speak this affirmation, just saying it is a great way to align the chakra. If you want to dive deeper into the inner work around money mindset blocks, we look at this in more detail in the Be Your Own Brand course. 

2. SACRAL CHAKRA 

Found just below your belly button, the sacral chakra corresponds to our sacred womb space. This is appropriate because this chakra is all about flow and femininity. 

Regardless of your gender – male, female, non-binary – we all have masculine and feminine energy. This chakra is about connecting to that sacred feminine energy, the energy of the divine goddess. It helps us tap into how we can do business in a delicate, flowing, feminine way. 

For many years, I was held back by my belief that to be successful in business I needed to step into the masculine energy. I thought that success looked like having a big high-rise office with lots of employees. I believed that it was all about hard hustle and grind, working long hours, and being forceful and hard-hitting. 

The trouble was none of this aligned with how I am. So, although I did find success, I wasn’t bringing in the money or reaching the people that I should have been, considering how much I was doing. 

Then, I began to tap into my sacral chakra, into my divine feminine, and started to make changes. I realised I can be gentle, flowing, and feminine and still have money flowing in easily and frequently. 

To connect with the sacral chakra, close your eyes and take some deep breaths as you visualise a glowing orange ball of light around your lower belly. Repeat three times, “success flows to me easily and frequently.” 

3. SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA 

I’m going to look at this chakra in more depth in a future video, but we’ll go over it briefly here too. 

The solar plexus chakra corresponds to the colour yellow, and it is our powerhouse. This chakra is all about taking action, getting things done, and achieving our goals. I like to think of it as the sun energy. 

We dive deep into goal setting in the Be Your Own Brand course session that focuses on the solar plexus – aligning this chakra can really help you go after those aims. 

Place your hands on your solar plexus, which is located above your belly button. Close your eyes and imagine a ball of yellow light bathing this chakra. Repeat the affirmation, “everything I do has a positive and abundant impact.” Say it three times. 

4. HEART CHAKRA 

This is another chakra that I’ll revisit in a future video. Found in the centre of your chest, the heart chakra is associated with the colour green. When it comes to business, this chakra is all about loving what we do. 

I believe deeply that when we are truly passionate about what we do, we can have a really positive impact – not just on our own lives, but also on the lives of the people we serve. In Be Your Own Brand, we dive into how we can do everything from a place of love, speak to our clients/customers from a heart-centred space, and do more of what we love too. 

Bring your focus to your heart chakra, placing your hands on your chest. Visualise a gentle green light flowing through the chakra. Use the affirmation, “I love my work, my success, my abundance”. Repeat this affirmation three times. 

5. THROAT CHAKRA 

The throat chakra corresponds to the colour blue and is all about speaking our truth and showing up authentically. When we work with this chakra, we find the confidence we need to speak on camera or audio, or in front of a crowd. 

This chakra is also about being able to speak our truth to ourselves – such an important thing to be able to do, in life as well as in business. 

Bring the throat chakra into balance by placing your hands gently at the base of your throat. Close your eyes and picture a ball of blue light in this area. Repeat three times, “I speak my dreams into existence”. 

6. THIRD EYE CHAKRA 

If you do face yoga, this will be a familiar chakra – it is one we use a lot. From a brand/business point of view, when we tap into this chakra, we connect with our inner knowing and discover new insights. It’s a great chakra to focus on when you have a decision to make or a question about your business you want to answer. 

Close your eyes and imagine a beautiful purple light bathing the third eye point, which is found between your eyebrows. Take a deep inhale, then repeat the affirmation, “my inner knowing guides me to success and happiness”, three times. 

7. CROWN CHAKRA 

The final chakra is the crown chakra. Found at the top of your head, this chakra is all about your connection to your source, your higher power. 

What that means to you might vary. You might see this higher power as the universe, God, Mother Nature, the ocean, the collective consciousness – whatever resonates with you. You can also work with this chakra to help you connect with spirit guides or angels. 

Visualise a bright white light radiating from the crown of your head and up towards the universe. Remember, chakras are energy wheels, so the flow of energy goes both in and out, connecting you to that higher power. 

Repeat three times, “I know everything is and will be just as it needs to be”. 

STEP INTO A NEW BUSINESS PARADIGM 

I really believe that the old ways of doing business are done. Instead of hustle and grind, long hours, and icky sales tactics, I want us all to step into this new paradigm of ease, abundance, and flow. 

Being successful in business shouldn’t mean sacrificing your wellness or your soul purpose. When we work in a way that aligns with our passions, we can build a thriving brand that brings us financial success, while also giving us the flexibility we need to focus on self-care, our relationships, and our interests.
